Water Manual

The Oregon Agricultural Education Foundation Water District Manual Project began over three years ago, and culminated in the Irrigation District Manual and the User's Guide. The Irrigation District Manual describes all the various water management organizations as well as their advantages and disadvantages. The Manual also gives a detailed description of the process involved in forming and operating an irrigation district. The User's Guide gives a brief description and comparison of various water management organizations and an overview of the process for formation and operation of an irrigation district.

All people using the Irrigation District Manual or the User's Guide should be aware that both the manual and the guide are works in progress to the extent that future developments may arise. Legal, political, and administrative changes occur daily and could affect the accuracy or usefulness of the materials. For this reason, all users should consult professional before undertaking the formation and operation of any of the organizations described in the manual and guide.

In recognition of the Oregon Farm Bureau's contribution to the project, the Manual and the User's Guide are available to Oregon Farm Bureau members at a discount.
