5/31 - As you may have noticed, this web site was down most of the week. Sorry about that, our ISP, Open.org took longer than anticipated to migrate to their new servers. Within a few days this website will be moving to a commercial web host, and, if I do my job right, you won't notice a thing, except, possibly, some faster page loads. Actually, if you're reading this message it means we're already on the new web host - whoop, whoop !!

1/4 - Attempted rape of woman at Minto-Brown Island Park
- fortunately the creep that tried this was apprehended quickly by an alert Salem Police officer. Minto is still a safe place to run, but it always pays to take precautions wherever you happen to be exercising. RRCA Women's Safety tips   Statesman Journal Article
1/3 - Been getting virus infected emails lately?
- you shouldn't always blame the person that sent you the email, because maybe they didn't. A common virus "Klez", is kinda sneaky, it looks at the infected host's address book, sends infected emails, and randomly chooses the sender's name from the same list, thus hiding the source of the email. If you're hooked into the internet, please do your friends a service and buy a virus protection program, and keep it updated. Also make sure you keep your Windows patches up to date, as many of them correct newly found security flaws. More info on Klez Virus protection programs - McAfee  Symantec
