Turner students get a satellite’s view of the Earth

Fish dissection comes to Turner

The Earthdome was a huge model of the Earth that was filled with air.

At our school we had a very special surprise. We got to see the earth. No, not the real Earth, the Earthdome. The Earthdome is a scale model of our earth. It is 22 feet wide and 19 feet tall. It was made from pictures taken in space on cloud free days by a satellite. There are dots where major cities are. You can see major features on all of the continents. The lines inside the globe represent the time zones which are 15 degrees apart. This map is the best of all maps.
