South Central Association of Neighbors (SCAN) is a city of Salem neighborhood association. It was founded on July 23, 1973. SCAN is governed by its bylaws and by Chapter 64 of the Salem Revised Code (64 SRC 250).  People living or owning a business located within SCAN's boundaries may serve on the Board of Directors.

The Board of Directors meets once a month on the second Wednesday of the month at 6:30 p.m.  We usually meet at South Salem High School Library but check the posted agenda  (opens PDF in new window) before the meeting in case of  a change in location.  The agenda also covers what we plan to discuss.  SCAN neighbors are welcome.

If you have a concern, please send Claudia Howells, SCAN's president, an email.
