I have tried to keep this music grouped alphabetically in categories. The categories listed below can be clicked on and you will go right to them or you can scroll down and get there anyway.

These midi music files were prepared using a KORG AG-10 desktop synthesizer. They will sound different using your onboard resources. I recommend a good outboard synthesizer for best results.

If these produce a poor sound on your computer you can check Playing Midi on Your Mac for some suggestions. Many suggestions apply to both Macs and PCs.

Any midi file produces no sound by itself. It is like an electronic piano roll. The actual sound comes from your synthesizer.

Each song in this Christmas collection is available in two formats. The first is just straight midi files and the second is midi files which have already been converted to QuickTime Movies. Your options are to download them individually as midi files, or all at once bundled either as midi files or QuickTime midi files.

The QuickTime midi files would be immediately usable by Holiday Lights in Macintosh computers.
The midi files are immediately usable by Holiday Lights in PCs and can be converted for use by Macintosh.
Both bundled collections are the same except for format.

Waiting

These were all created as "waiting music". By that I mean they were designed to loop while a user made up their mind about what to do next or to entertain the user while another part of a CD loaded. Most of them were created for a CD at Oregon State University that gave information about their new Multimedia Minor. All of these are so short that I figure they should be a 3:1 affair as far as file downloads are concerned. I'll tell you what I was after too .... for no extra charge.

Since these are designed to loop that is why they seem to end abruptly. If you make them into QT Movies save them with the "loop" function turned on. You cannot do this with QT 3.0 or 4.0, but you can do it with QT 2.5. The only other choice is to alter the midi file with a sequencer by selecting loop for each of the tracks.
